Sr Financial Modeller Expert

Role

This role will provide detailed and accurate financial models that will support the company’s bidding processes, aid in strategic decision making, and ultimately drive profitable growth. He or she will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining complex financial models that evaluate project profitability, risk, and return on investment. He or she would play a crucial role in translating financial data into actionable insights, helping the Head of Bid and Growth and other key stakeholders understand the financial implications of different bidding strategies, and making recommendations to maximize financial performance and minimize risk.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for bid proposals.
  • Assist in development and implementation of divisional commercial policy and best practice in relation to financial modelling, financial analysis and approach to assessing the price risk.
  • Provide financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Support the bid team in the financial aspect of proposals.
  • Work closely with various departments to gather accurate data for modelling.
  • Present financial models to the senior management team.
  • Support the bid lifecycle governance process including preparing appropriate documentation and processes and assist in the audit process across all sectors and territories.
  • Develop competitor analysis.
  • Support in developing bid financial strategies.
  • Help with CAPEX, OPEX, CASH FLOW and other matrices.
  • Create and develop close working relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal senior stakeholders.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with the executive team, the senior finance team, the bid team and the operational team.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial modelling, preferably within a bid team.
  • Experience in Facilities Management services industry is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA/ACA/ACCA/MBA are preferred.
  • Certification in Financial Modeling is a plus.
  • Power BI and analytics capabilities are preferred.

Knowledge

  • This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The incumbent will need to communicate complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.
  • This role may involve travel to various company sites for data gatherings and meetings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
